FSB officer arrested for 3 years…

…for the kidnapping of the bride at the wedding of a friend!

Moscow military court delivered its verdict on the case against two brothers – an RF Defense Ministry officer,  Ivan Ivannikov,  and officer of the Federal Security Service (FSB)  Denis Ivannikov who kidnapped the bride from the brothers’ wedding, told the court.

Also reported that D. Ivannikov was convicted of extortion, and his brother – in complicity with the crime.

The court found that on 15 November 2008. in a restaurant in Moscow during the celebration of the wedding Ivannikov took the bride in his arms, carried to the street, then put the girl and her brother in a car and drove away.

Two hours later he phoned fiance and demanded for the release of the bride $ 15 thousand dollars. After the payment, brothers released the bride. During the trial the defendants insisted that it was a joke. The court acquitted the defendants on the article “Kidnapping”, but for extortion sentenced  Ivannikov to 3 years in prison. His brother received a 1,5-year suspended sentence.
